My dear friends in Christ, 

I would think that little needs to be said about the necessity for a strong youth program here at BVMC.  A program is needed that will enrich the faith and knowledge of all the children of our parish from preschool to high school age. 

Through prayer and dedication to renewing the youth group here at BVMC we can become a beacon of hope for all of the youth in our community.  I have had the pleasure of working with many dedicated individuals from the Diocese of Pittsburgh who developed a wonderful program called “Solomon’s Wish.”  This program will allow us to build a strong ministry for our children based on a life of prayer, scripture studies and of course, FUN!

If you are interested in finding out more about “Solomon’s Wish” and the renewal of our youth ministry here at BVMC please plan on attending our opening meeting and prayer session on Tuesday, August 12^th at 6:30pm in the parish.  (if this is not a good time for you, please contact me and we can schedule a different time).

We need dedicated adults to mentor the youth of the parish if we are ever going to have a successful youth ministry.  “Solomon’s Wish” calls for a core group of 6 adult leaders.  My hope is to have this core group established within the very near future.  As the academic year draws near, so does our need to have a program established for our children.
