The central theme of the Bible is God's love for you and for all people. This love was revealed when Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came into the world as a human being, lived a sinless life, died on the cross, and rose from the dead. (See Philippians 2:5-11)
By Jesus' sacrifice the Kingdom of God was opened to you. Through His sacrifice you obtain forgiveness of sin. Because He conquered death you have eternal life. You can know for sure that your life will be fulfilled and what will become of you after you die.
The story of God's love for his people is contained in the Bible and is referred to as the "Gospel." The word Gospel means "The Good News." Jesus asks you to listen, to read, to study, and to live the Good News.
Jesus' gift of the Kingdom, forgiveness, and eternal life are free gifts open to you, and to all. His foundation of the Kingdom is both an opportunity and a responsibility.
We believe that God created us, not out of necessity, but out of love. He created us with the ability to choose whether or not we enter into a relationship with Him.
This ability to choose exhibits itself in your mind and in your heart as a longing for the love that is so often missing in the world today. It is our testimony that choosing God fills the void.
"Yes, God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him may not die but may have eternal life." --John 3:16 (NAB)
Yes, God loves you. He wants to bless your life and make it full and complete. And He wants to give you a life that will last forever, even after death.
God's gift of Grace is free to you... and it is yours when you willingly accept it. God asks for your love and is waiting for your response.
"This is not your own doing, it is God's gift; neither is it a reward for anything you have accomplished, so let no one pride himself on it." --Ephesians 2:8-9 (NAB)
The word grace means "undeserved favor." It means God is offering you something you could never provide for yourself: His Kingdom, forgiveness of sins, and eternal life. God's gift to you is free. You do not have to work for a gift. All you have to do is joyfully receive it.
We believe that God gives His grace in real and physical ways - through the sacraments and through His Word. He feeds us, strengthens us, cleanses us, and brings us together in community.
Christ is at your door saying:
"Here I stand knocking at the door. If anyone hears me calling and opens the door, I will enter his house and have supper with him, and he with me." --Revelation 3:20 (NAB)
Jesus Christ wants a personal relationship with you. God took the first step by giving us His son Jesus.
"Are you not aware that we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Through baptism into His death we were buried with Him, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too might live a new life." --Romans 6:3-4 (NAB)
Jesus is waiting, God is waiting. When you receive Christ and are baptized, when you return to the Church, you become a child of God, and have the privilege of receiving His grace through the sacraments, through His Word, and by talking to Him in prayer at any time about anything. The Christian life is a relationship to God through Jesus Christ. And best of all, it is a relationship that will last for all eternity.
"What, then, shall we say after that? If God is for us, who can be against us? Is it possible that He who did not spare his own Son but handed Him over for the sake of us all will not grant us all things besides?" --Romans 8:31-32 (NAB)
